SERVICE & MAINTENANCE

We aim to provide complete power and data protection for our customers.  We access each UPS installation on an individual basis.  UPS Solutions is more than just a supplier - after-sales service and support are as important to us as the initial selection of the right equipment.

Our technicians have been trained by our suppliers to efficiently install and service UPS units, both in the workshop and on site.  Our personnel have been provided with the required equipment, tools and spares to perform their tasks.

PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE

We offer a full on site preventative maintenance programme, which determines a number of calls annually.  During our on site service call we conduct a full diagnostic test of our customers product, mechanical soundness and battery stress test.  Based on these reports we notify our customers of any impending problem that may arise and take the necessary action to rectify them.

REMOTE MAINTENANCE

On select UPS equipment we offer remote maintenance options to our customers.  The UPS is assigned an IP address and is connected via a SMNP interface to the customers existing LAN or WAN.  This feature allows the customer to monitor and perform various UPS tests, i.e. battery conditions under present load, ambient temperature and operational logs.  It also allows for remote re-booting of individual loads via the UPS.  Alarm signals are sent to the IT administrator via the network or to a preset cellular phone.  An Internet add-on option is also available.  The UPS also provides for integration of environmental maintenance monitoring.  This may be used for monitoring other equipment and alarms.
